The region around Machu Picchu, including the Sacred Valley, Inca Trail and colonial city of Cusco, is rich in archaeological sites. On Peru’s arid Pacific coast is Lima, the capital, with a preserved colonial center and important collections of pre-Columbian art.

Day 1 LIMA

Upon arrival, pick up by our guide and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2LIMA

This morning, take a tour of Lima – a UNESCO world heritage site. Next head to the Larco Museum. Enjoy a traditional criolla lunch at an old manor house with pisco sour tasting – Peru’s national drinks. Last visit to Barranco.

Optional:
Enjoy a culinary workshop with Pedro Miguel Schiaffino, renowned chef of one of the World’s Best 100 Restaurants.

Day 3LIMA - AREQUIPA

After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to Arequipa. Explore the historic centre, Santa Catalina Convent, La Compania de Jesus Church and Yanahuara. This afternoon, visit the Museum of Andean Sanctuaries.

Day 4AREQUIPA - COLCA CANYON

Early morning drive to Colca Valley. Driving across Pampa Cañahuas, Chucura Volcano and Tocra. Reach Mirador de los Andes. Arrive in Chivay town. Enjoy Hot Spring Thermal and Medicinal Baths.

Day 5COLCA CANYON

Explore Colca Canyon. Travel to Cruz del Condor viewpoint. Next visit the village of Pinchollo and “Antahuilque viewpoint”. Continue to Yanque, featuring colonial churches and pre-Inca hanging tombs.

Day 6COLCA CANYON - PUNO

After breakfast, set off to Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Visit Sillustani, a pre-Incan burial ground.

Day 7PUNO - LAKE TITICACA

Take a boat ride across Lake Titicaca. Visit the unique floating Tortora reed island. Enjoy authentic village walks, visits to family house and tasting local cuisine. Return to Puno this afternoon.

Day 8PUNO - CUSZO - PISAC - SACRED VALLEY

Upon arrival, descend to Sacred Valley. Drive to the archaeological site of Pisac. Lunch at a house with owners private collection of pre-Colombian, Incan and colonial artefacts. Arrive Urubamba, visit a small town Ch’iqun.

Day 9SACRED VALLEY

An excursion to Moray terraces and Maras Salt Mines. Options to go on a short trek or mountain biking. After lunch, return to Urubamba and enjoy some free time.

Huertos De Yucay Hike: The trail takes you to the area’s platforms and crop fields.
Pumamarca Trekking: This exploration discovers the most puzzling and isolated Inca remains.

Day 10SACRED VALLEY - OLLANTAYTAMBO - MACHU PICCHU

Morning drive to the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. Take the train to Machu Picchu. Explore Machu Picchu in the late afternoon when the masses of tourists are gone and the ruin are at its best.

Day 11MACHU PICCHU - CUZCO

You may explore Machu Picchu in the early morning or climb to the Sun Gate or Huayna Picchu. After lunch, take the train back to Ollantaytambo. On the way to Cuzco, stop at Chinchero.

Overnight: Palacio Del Inka

Day 12CUZCO

After breakfast explore this exotic Inca capital. Continue to San Blas and San Pedro Market. After lunch, head to Coricancha. Visit Sacsayhuaman Fortress. In the evening, join a night walking tour around ancient city map.

Day 13CUZCO - LIMA

Free and easy in the morning. Transfer to airport in the late afternoon for flight.
