Every summer, her dad will take the family for a road trip to see plantations, volcanoes, mountains and beaches in Philippines. Her earliest memories was of her dad making makeshift beds in their van for them to sleep on during the long hours of travel. Some trips were planned but most of it is were just impromptu. A quick getaway to Boracay or Bohol or even a 6 hour trip to Baguio but always left her with deep memories.
In 2011, after moving to Singapore, she had the chance to see more of South East Asia. Her most unforgettable experience was when she travelled alone to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap in Cambodia; waking up at 4am to catch the glimpse of sunrise in Angkor Wat. ” it is just amazing, it truly felt like a different era” she quipped
She constantly looking forward to her next trip and always excited to meet new friends along the way.
She believes that for one to enjoy their trips, you have to go where the locals go and eat where the locals eat. Travelling is no longer she about ticking of the boxes of ” been there”
