An epic honeymoon adventure exploring the beautiful and contrasting landscapes of Argentina and Chile. Combine cosmopolitan Buenos Aires with wild Patagonia, staying at unique accommodation throughout from a wine lodge to glamping in Torres del Paine.
Best time to travel : November – April
Fly to Argentina’s vibrant capital, Buenos Aires, a great to spot to kick off your honeymoon in style. Explore San Telmo’s cobbled streets, local markets, and contemporary art galleries and see the locals practice tango. People watch in chic Recoleta, marvel at the French classical architecture, stroll through elegant boulevards home to designer boutiques, and enjoy the street art scene in nearby Palermo before heading out for incredible steak and wine.
We’ve included a city tour by bike, the perfect way to explore Buenos Aires’ diverse districts and an evening at Rojo Tango, widely considered the best show in the country.
Alternatively, Argentine Tango Lessons
When you’re in Buenos Aires, don’t miss the chance to learn the Argentine tango with a private dance lesson. Our expert tango teacher will get beginners dancing more than just the basic steps, or they will help more experienced dancers to move up a level.
After enjoying a relaxing few days in this iconic city, fly south where the real adventure begins! Patagonia is one of the great unspoilt wildernesses of the world; think snow-capped peaks, shimmering lakes and towering glaciers. You’ll stay in El Calafate, a town on the doorstep of the incredible Los Glaciares National Park, home to the world-famous Perito Moreno glacier. Exploring the glacier is a must when in Patagonia and we’ve included both a breath-taking boat trip along Lago Argentino that takes you up close to the glacier face and also a mini-trekking adventure, which will see you don crampons and ice picks to enter a world of blue ice caves, crevasses and incredible vistas.
From here, head over the border to Chile to perhaps the most impressive National Park in all of South America, Torres del Paine. Here the continent falls away in a dazzling explosion of imposing glaciers, deep blue lakes, iridescent icebergs, waterfalls and spectacular jagged peaks. Stay in a luxury yurt just outside the park whilst enjoying a whole host of exciting outdoor activities from trekking, kayaking, fishing and horse riding to mountain biking and glacier visits.
Fly north to Chile’s buzzing capital. City lovers may choose to spend a night here before heading home but we’ve chosen to whizz you out instead to Chile’s beautiful wine region. Stay at a boutique lodge, famous for producing some of the country’s best wines, enjoy a slower pace of life and sweeping panoramas. Other than fabulous wine tastings, soak up the sun by the pool, wander the vineyards, enjoy a pampering massage, hike through native forest or explore on horseback with a Chilean cowboy.
