Jordan is defined by ancient monuments, nature reserves and seaside resorts. Home to the famed archaeological site of Petra, the Nabatean capital dating to around 300 B.C. Set in a narrow valley with tombs, temples and monuments carved into the surrounding pink sandstone cliffs nicknamed “Rose City.” Not far away across the border is Israel, a Middle Eastern country on the Mediterranean Sea, the biblical Holy Land.

Drive through the landscape of Wadi Rum, with its rose-hued mountains and endless desert vistas. Return to Amman.

Cross the border into Israel. Pick up by our guide and travel to Masada, ascending by cable car. Continue to the Qumran Caves. Check in to hotel. Visit the Western Wall, El Aksa Mosque and Dome of the Rock. Travel along the Via Dolorosa, passing the Convent of Zion Sisters, the cistern. Proceed to Stations of the Cross and continuing to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
The next day, see Yad Vashem. Visit its museum and Israel’s Parliament. In Bethlehem, visit the Church of the Nativity atop the cave where Jesus was born. Return to hotel in Jerusalem.

Drive to the ancient seaport of Acre. Visit Nazareth. In Tiberias, check in to hotel. The next day, board a boat and stop at Capernaum and St. Peter’s house. Drive up the Golan Heights. Lastly see tranquil Banias, with its beautiful waterfall.
