After breakfast, drive to the Poring Hot Spring. Stopover at Nabalu village then to Kinabalu Park. Head to the World Heritage site of Kinabalu Park. Return to Kota Kinabalu in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, take a boat to Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. Pick up from hotel for a boat ride to one of the outlying islands. Mask and snorkel are provided. Lunch is served on the island. Head back to Kota Kinabalu mid-afternoon.

After breakfast, transfer to airport and fly to Sandakan to visit the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary and the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. Transfer to the jetty in Sandakan for a boat cruise up the Lower Kinabatangan River. Arrive at Abai Jungle Lodge. Lunch is served. Transfer to Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge by boat. Next go on a cruise to the Menanggul River. Dinner is served.

Early morning boat ride for bird watching and wildlife viewing at Ox Bow Lake. Trek the lush riverine forest and return to the lodge for breakfast. In the afternoon, cruise down the Menanggul River and Kinabatangan River. Free and easy.
