2. Silfra. Snorkel Between Two Continents in This Frigid Fissure in Iceland It’s located in Thingvellir National Park, an UNESCO world heritage area
At Silfra, snorkel between 2 continents in the crystal clear water in the deep fissure. (Option to dive for travellers with certification) for scuba divers willing to brave the 206-foot dive into Iceland’s Silfra fissure, the water temperature isn’t the point; it’s the price of entry. In this crack between the Eurasian and North American continents, divers can touch two continental plates underwater at the same time—an experience that can’t be found anywhere else on the planet.

Start your adventure along the south coast. The area is quite spectacular with the black sand and hard ocean waves beating the shore of Reynisfjara beach – known as black sand beach. The rock formations of Reynisdrangar are a signature landmark.
Visit the charming local town Víkí Mýrdal and two of Iceland’s most famous waterfalls; Seljalandsfoss and Skógarfoss. Proceed to Dyrhólaey; a 120 meter high rock inhabited by numerous types of birds, including the puffin. Make a stop at Sólheimajökull glacier tongue and take a short hike on the ice.

Overnight: Jökulsárlón – Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon
Today explore the area surrounding Vatnajökull glacier, Europe´s largest ice-cap. Begin by heading to Skaftafell National Park for an easy 1-2 hour hike.
Afterwards, visit the spectacular Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. You’ll find a glacier lagoon filled with large chunks of ice. This ice lagoon has become one of Iceland’s most popular attractions due to its immense beauty. The lagoon is called Jökulsárlón, or Glacier’s-River-Lagoon. Hop on an unforgettable boat tour on Jökulsárlón and enjoy the views.

This morning, drive to Borgarfjordur Eystri which will offer you a chance to experience a genuine Icelandic fishing village with a small boat fishery.
Spend the afternoon driving along the scenic East Coast of Iceland. Visit the puffin island Hafnarholmi before continuing your drive up to the north to Lake Myvatn Area. After a long drive you have opportunity to soak in the Nature Baths and take in the view of Lake Myvatn.

Today visit the pseudo-crater of Skútustadagigar, a peculiar geological phenomenon, as well as the mystical Dimmuborgir – Dark Cities, which are full of lava pillars and formations.
We will explore the warm underground river in Grjotagja rift and head to Krafla volcano region. Get the opportunity to explore the Lofhellir lava cave, which is 3500 years old and around 370 meters long.

This morning, we visit the majestic Dettifoss waterfall, the most powerful waterfall in Europe. You’ll see a lot of waterfalls in Iceland, but none can rival Dettifoss in terms of sheer size and force Continue to Asbyrgi, one of the wonders of nature – a wide, horseshoe- shaped canyon with sheer cliff face up to 100m high. End the day in Husavik – the whale watching capital of the north! Head to watch whales on a speedboat that gets you up close and personal with the whales.

This morning, head for a 2 hours horse riding tour in the lava fields and beautiful Lake Myvatn area. Transfer to Akureyri and enjoy a walking tour around the city before transferring to the airport to catch your flight back to Reykjavik.
